It’s that time of year again in Hawaii, “Hurricane Season” the Central Pacific Hurricane season starts on June 1 through November 30, 2019. AccuWeather meteorologists are predicting a more-active-than-normal season for the Central Pacific, once again putting Hawaii on alert for potential impacts.
Did you know 85 percent of families are not prepared for a disaster? In an effort to protect our local community, my agency will be giving away FREE disaster preparedness kits on a first-come-first-serve basis to help prepare local families for natural disasters.
Additionally, in partnership with The Allstate Foundation, my agency is part of a $25,000 donation to local Red Cross chapters in Hawaii.
With last year’s historic severe weather events, The Allstate Foundation and agencies across Hawaii want to support the Red Cross’ disaster response efforts and help provide for local families impacted by disasters of all kinds.
